With colorful spirit and welcoming personality, Alice represents the heart of The Whimsical Dart, bringing people together, encouraging self-expression, and reminding us that play along with effort belongs to everyone and can be a solo journey as much as a collective one.
At The Whimsical Dart, we recognize that dart communities - local, national, and international - have shared guidance, equipment, fellowship, and enthusiasm for generations. We deeply respect the history of the game and the many individuals, organizations, and establishments whose contributions have shaped the dart community we know today.
We look forward to honoring that legacy while contributing our own whimsical spirit to this ever-expanding community. Our aim is creating opportunities for people of all backgrounds and abilities to gather, participate, and experience the joy of darts.
The Whimsical Dart grew from a shared love of playing darts, and from our belief that this beautifully simple game can help revitalize community. Through darts, we hope to support individuals and families in feeling more confident in their own unique ways of being while remaining curious and respectful of others.
Darts has brought people together for centuries. Its story is often traced to medieval times, where shortened arrows were thrown at wooden targets. The natural rings and cracks in the wood helped inspire the familiar sections of the dartboard. After the numbering systems were introduced followed by the sisal bristle boards in the early twentieth century, darts found an enduring home in pubs and social clubs before spreading around the world.
Today, darts can be found nearly everywhere, from neighborhood gathering places and professional competitions to garages, studios, vacation homes, and family game rooms. At its heart, darts remains beautifully simple: a game of skill, focus, connection, and fun. It can be enjoyed with a lively crowd, among family and friends, or alone during a quiet moment of practice and reflection.
Through The Whimsical Dart, we hope to bring a fresh dimension to this valued pastime, one that welcomes more people into the game while honoring the individual journey within it. In doing so, it can also help us develop deeper and more meaningful relationships with ourselves and with one another.

We create a wide variety of distinctive dart holders—from one-of-a-kind collectible artworks to simple, elegant designs made from wood or glass. Many of our pieces begin as repurposed found objects, thoughtfully transformed into something both functional and unexpected. As The Whimsical Dart evolves, so will our collection. We look forward to throwing darts with you.
