Relational Dart Therapy

Darts as a Container for the Therapeutic Process

Relational Dart Therapy is an experiential, trauma-informed therapeutic approach that uses the familiar structure of darts as a relational and regulatory practice rather than a competitive game. The method externalizes core relational processes: aim, pause, miss, repair, and return. This process allows individuals, couples, and families to explore connection through embodied, shared experience.

By slowing the moment between intention and action, Relational Dart Therapy supports nervous system regulation, attunement, and presence. The physical act of placing, holding, or retrieving a dart becomes a contained ritual, offering a safe way to practice turn-taking, boundary awareness, and emotional pacing.

Used within individual, family, and group therapy settings, Relational Dart Therapy supports:

  • Co-regulation and shared rhythm

  • Emotional containment during charged moments

  • Nonverbal communication and attunement

  • Repair after misattunement or conflict

  • Curiosity in place of performance or outcome

Relational Dart Therapy is not about accuracy or achievement. It is about how people orient toward one another, how they respond to interruption or “missing the mark,” and how they return to relationship with care and intention.

At its core, this work offers a tangible way to practice relationship as process, not result.

How Relational Dart Therapy Can Work

  • Individual

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • Couples
